Dogs, cats and ferrets to enter Switzerland from Thailand need thefollowing requirements:

They must have been vaccinated against rabies with an inactivated vaccine (vaccinated with an efficiency This represents at least one international unit of antigen according to WHO standards) as recommended by the manufacturer

At least 30 days after rabies vaccinated (and not on the validity of the recommended vaccination The manufacturer has expired) blood must be take from the animal and tested for antibodies against rabies by EU approved Laboratories,Lab in THA not accept,

Adequate protection is considered by The concentration of neutralizing antibodies against rabies (“titer”) for at least 0.5 international units – Milliliter of serum (IU / mL).
The waiting period of 3 Months from the date of blood sample until time to entry Switzerland are required

This means that at least 4 months waiting period from the last rabies vaccination
Vaccinate puppies less than 3 Months not accept because the antibodies may still from mother immunity. There is animals can not less than 7 Month before entry Switzerland

Documents Required for Pet Import

1) Certificate of Vaccination againts RabiesThe vaccinated date must not less than 30 days, but not longer than 1 year.

2) Health CertificateNeed to take the pet to to issue the Health Certificate (English language)From Official Veterinarian in your country (by Government ) only, Pet passport from EU can not use.

3) Copy Passport of the owner/shipperCopy passport is required only the photo page only.

4) Import Permit from Department Livestock Department

Recommendation for Import of Dog and Cat to thailand

1) The animal (s) must be vaccinated against rabies wherever possible, a period of 30 days before the departure is recommended. Other vaccination is voluntary. A dog or cat that is younger than 3 months old is not allow to import.

2) Prior to export, the originals as well as photocopies of

TIP for transport DOG and CAT by Airplane

Animals can become subject to considerable stress when kept in an unfamiliar place for an extended period of time, so please ensure that the animal is in good condition prior to departure.
Dogs (cats) that are old, in poor health, pregnant, lactating, have a history of illnesses, are on medication or are injured are not suited to transportation or the import quarantine that follows.

In case that it is unavoidable to bring such an animal into Thailand, please consult your vet and airline well in advance, to determine whether or not the animal will be able to cope with transportation

Please make sure that the cages used for transporting dogs (cats) are large enough for them to stand, sit, sleep and turn freely, and have a vent which allows sufficient ventilation in order to transport them safely and avoid injury.

Cages should be constructed in such a way that animals cannot poke their snouts or limbs out of the vent or mesh, and should have anti-escape features.

Need to take the pet to the Suvarnabhumi Airport Animal Quarantine station only in order to issue the Health Certificate before the departure date within 3 days.

For example, wind-pollinating grasses, trees and weeds grow year round, and an animal suffering from seasonal inhalant or contact allergies elsewhere may develop persistent respiratory or skin complaints.

Similarly, many parasites - both internal and external - find the climate amenable, &/or their transport vectors or intermediate hosts abound.There are however exceptions. Fleas are a relatively uncommon problem in Thailand, partially due to the high ambient temperatures and humidity, and also because most homes have solid flooring, & not carpets.

Heartworm is less prevalent than would be expected, as extensive mosquito-breeding prevention measures are in place to minimize human exposure to dengue fever and malariaBefore considering bringing your pets to Thailand, be aware that rabies, a fatal disease, is prevalent in Thailand.

If you intend to bring your pet, it is essential that you have it vaccinated against Rabies, prior to departure. Contact the Department livestock Department for up-to-date information on quarantine regulations. An entry permit for animals coming in by air can be obtained from the airport on arrival.

Bring your pets on the same flight as yourself, as excess baggage. Thai authorities may quarantine the animal for a period of time, at your expense. If you wish to take a pet home again, be aware that many countries will require a long period of quarantine or may not allow the pet to enter directly from Thailand.

Vets Animals requiring neutering, vaccination or treatment for illness or injury can be taken to one of the many vets or animal hospitals. The combination of the initial series of vaccinations against the major canine and feline diseases may vary from vet to vet, but annual boosters are essential. Consult your chosen veterinarian.
